Now this is just wrong...

Okay, so yesterday night, I created a Living Greyhawk character. To be more precise, a Sorcerer with fey blood, pale skin, dark hair, golden eyes and the following stats:

8
12
14
14
8
16

So what's wrong? Nothing really, except for the fact that I was sleeping last night. Oh sure, that's not the first time I have a D&D-related dream, but how much ingrained in me must the 28-point-buy rule be for me to do the math in my sleep?? And I haven't had a game since Origins last year! Maybe I need to get a lobotomy.

Persoanlly, I always liked making ome of the stats odd for level boosts. :D

Awake, I may do that for Charisma, in the example above: it would make it cheaper. Also, still awake and still in the example above, I would certainly boost Dex to 14 and reduce Int to 12, to have better chances to survive. In my dream, though, I remember thinking that my character was not dexterous enough to deserve a 14. Proof that I am more of a roleplayer and less of a rollplayer when I am NOT awake.

Seek help immediately. Send all your gaming books to me. E-mail me for my mailing address.

I've sent most of my RPG stuff back to France already. I've got only half a box left here, nothing worth bothering you. But thanks for the kind offer.

You're arguing about the tweaking of a character that was created during somebody else's dream and has no intent of ever being used in play? Seek professional help fast.

Crothian is beyond 15000 posts, thus beyond help.

I don't know what's sadder. The fact that you're creating characters in your sleep, or the fact that you added up the point totals wrong. That's a 26 point character. :p

Darn. I remember that in my dream, I counted points over 14 as having a value of 3, while only points over 16 do.

Sad. :( I'll never get to play him.

[edit:] Of course, I could play him by making the kind of change the awakened me (am I zen or not?) would have, thus getting:

8
14
14
14
8
16

Of course, now I would need time to actually game. Maybe at next Gen Con, if I can manage to go.
