Number of daily attack powers allowed. . .

what is the number of daily attack powers you are allowed to use in a day? the reason im asking is because the feat student of sword magic is worded thus...
"you have a spellbook in which you record your swordmage spells. When you choose this feat, select a second swordmage daily attack power for each level at which you already know a swordmage daily attack power, and add those powers to your spellbook. after an extended rest, you can prepare a number of daily spells according to what you can cast per day for your level. you cant prepare the same spell twice."
ok, its showing up in my character builder when i rearrange my powers that i can use 2 level 29 powers and a lvl 25 daily power...the reason im asking is that seems extremly overpowered but the by the wording the only restriction it has is that you cant prepare the same spell twice so im assuming that it is technically ok for right now to have 2 level 29 daily attack powers prepared? thanks.

Prepared yes. Usable no.
You can still only use a single 29th level daily attack power as per the level chart in the PHB (pg 27 iirc). The magic sword sounds like it is acting as an expanded spellbook (see the feat called Expanded Spellbook) and allowing you some more versatility in your daily power choices.

For each level at which you can have a daily power, you have 2 daily powers in your spell book. Out of each pair, you choose one per day to have prepared. So you cannot have both of the daily powers you chose at level 29 prepared at the same time, no.

I tell people who want to play Wizards to think of them as "slots." You get one level 1 daily slot, one level 5 daily slot, etc., and you get two spells per slot. Every day you pick which spell you want in the slot, and for that day, you can cast that daily spell.

The confusion here is that the two restrictions aren't what you (and lehua768, Khime, and Holy Bovine) think they are. Aulirophile, of course, is exactly right as far as he goes.
"According to what you can cast per day for your level" means that for the maximum set of spells you can prepare, look at your level. At 9th level (for instance), you can prepare one 9th level spell, one 5th level spell, and one 1st level daily spell -- but you can use any daily slot to prepare a lower level daily. So at -most-, you can have (at 9th) a 9th level, a 5th level, and a 1st level -- but you could also have two 5th level spells prepared, or a 9th and two 1st level spells -- etc.
The second restriction, then, further limits this by preventing you from having having the same spell prepared twice -- so while you could have two first level spells prepared if you want to, you couldn't have the -same- first level spell prepared twice. But you're still limited to "what you can cast per day for your level" -- e.g. at max one spell of up to that level for each daily spell level you know swordmage spells in.

mneme is correct with the additional option of training a lower level daily into your spellbook, of course, and selecting that. It isn't something I've ever seen happen with Wizards, as their dailies go from amazing to "I win this encounter" as they level up, so preparing a lower level one was never something that came up (barring pre-errata Sleep).

I don't know if that is true for Swordmages, of course, might be worth it.

This is also why my "slots" concept helps. If you are level 5 and train a level 5 daily and a level 1 daily for your spellbook, either can actually be slotted into the "Level 5 slot" because you learned them at a level 5.

ok then with that in mind....why is it that in the character builder when i print my character sheet out, it is saying that both my lvl 29 daily attacks are available and my lvl 25 daily, while i have a lvl 25, a lvl 19, and a lvl 15 daily spell clearly labled in my spellbook? all my powers that are in my spellbook are shown to be there and is clearly labeled...but transdimensional invasion and mirrorblade army are both not showing the "SPELLBOOK" that is labeled under the other 3...so why is it doing that?

Because Character Builder is still a buggy program? Nearly every month, it either adds a bug or removes a bug from one or more of the PCs in the groups I play in.

It should print out all 8 daily attack powers that the PC has.

Levels 15, 19, 25, and 29 are "replace 1 daily attack power" levels. Character Builder tries to do these correctly, but probably messes up a little with a spellbook, especially one from a feat (unlike the Wizard one which is inherent).

Bottom line, there are 8 Daily attack powers available at level 29 and 30. Each does not have to be the level at which it is selected, but it does have to be that levels or lower. When selecting each Daily Attack power for the adventuring day, the player should start at the lowest level, pick one of those 2, then work his way up, realizing that he cannot pick duplicates.

15th A(15) or B(15)
19th A(15) or B(15) or C(19) or D(19)
25th A(15) or B(15) or C(19) or D(19) or E(25) or F(25)
29th A(15) or B(15) or C(19) or D(19) or E(25) or F(25) or G(29) or H(29)

Actually my version of the CB doesn't do that, it clearly says "Spellbook" under the name of the spell that I trained to go in my Spellbook.
