NWN-- game announcement: Saturday morning

EDIT: for the most recent game announcement, please scroll down to the bottom of the thread.

Greetings!

Once again I am announcing a NWN DM-hosted game, "Vorlag's Ruin." I will be running it on Sunday, June 30, at 7:30 a.m. (while my fiancee sleeps in ;)) Pacific time. This should allow my European friends who have just gotten the game to participate, if they like (UK time 3:30 p.m., Cont. Europe 4:30 p.m.). The game should take between one hour and ninety minutes to play.

I have decided to start hosting my games in the "Role-Play" section of the matching service. This should help cut down on the l33t hack-players who hang out in the default "Action" area. I am not password-locking the game so anyone can drop in if they wish. Click on the "Role-Play" option in the category box in the upper left part of the matching service screen to find my game.

Game title: [EN] Lazybones Vorlag's Ruin

Game type: server characters (so unless you've played with me before, you'll need to create a new 1st level character, or choose one of the defaults, upon entering).

Max players: 6

Game style: cooperative role-playing (single party). New players are welcome (heck, we're all new at this :))

I've run this mod once before and it was perfectly stable, but I've added new areas--consider this a "beta."

RSVPs aren't necessary but feel free to reply if you are interested. Thanks and I look forward to seeing ENWorlders online!

Oof, Sunday morning.

Well, I would like to play, and I'll make the attempt to be up. At least it'll be 10:30 here. Which I know people want to beat me for saying I can't get up then, but hey, it's summer :D

Just finished the game--went about two hours, and had people coming and going throughout. I had a lot of fun as DM, and there were only a few glitches that I detected. The encounter spawning went well, and the players all stayed in character and roleplayed well. There were a few monsters that were just two tough (my new banedead, and a stag beetle that, while I slowed it down to a crawl, packed a mean whallop).

Any players from the game want to comment?

Anyway, my next projects include making some retroactive changes to my "Great Fens" module (which I'll probably run early next week), and finishing up my next adventure, "The Dreadmoors." It's about 80% done. Then I'm going to take all of my little adventures and link them to a central area with a tavern, making one large adventure. I figure I can just keep adding from there...

I was one of those people who had to come and go, unfortunately. However, I did have a blast while playing. It was nice to play in a NWN game that wasn't all hack and slash.

Rather than starting a new thread with each game, I think I'll just keep using this one, editing the subject header.

Thanks to all who came by my server over the weekend and played "Vorlag's Ruin." It was fun. Currently I'm working on a project that will connect all of the modules I've created thus far; it will be a semi-persistent world that can be played for several hours at a time.

I have just completed my next module, "The Dreadmoors." I will be running it tonight, Monday July 1, at 7:00 p.m. Pacific time. The game should take 1-2 hours to play.

My games are hosted in the "Role-Play" section of the matching service. I am not password-locking the game so anyone can drop in if they wish. Click on the "Role-Play" option in the category box in the upper left part of the matching service screen to find my game.

Server name: [EN] Lazybones

Game name: The Dreadmoors

Game type: local server characters allowed. This game is for slightly higher levels, so I'm allowing local characters this time. Legal character enforcement will be toggled on.

Character levels: 2-4 (if you want to level up during the game, you should use a 2nd or 3rd level character). This module doesn't have a store/merchant so be sure to stock up on equipment beforehand.

Max players: 6

Game style: cooperative role-playing (single party). New players are welcome.

RSVPs aren't necessary but feel free to reply if you are interested. Thanks and I look forward to seeing you online.
