NWN- what's the word on Mac?

First Post
The press release mentions a later download for Linux. What about Mac? I know there is no toolkit (yet) for Mac, but I am assuming the game is for PC + Mac. Am I wrong? Is there any confirmation on this?

edit:
Just found this on BioWare's forums:

"There should be some good Mac news for you on Wednesday or Thursday :) "

Before MacSoft got involved (back when BioWare was planning to do the Mac version themselves), there was not going to be a toolset for the Mac version. MacSoft's involvement means we will probably get one (though it might not come out with the game).

So we wait a few months, no big deal. It'll either still be popular when we get the game OR it will be revelead how badly the game sucks. Waiting a couple of months is a vast improvement I'll take any day over never getting the game.

I have been following NWN's development for three years and the problem I have is that:

1) They said simultaneous release from Day 1 and continued to say so up to the Gold announcement. As of Wed., their FAQ still lists it as a "one box" release. No communication or HINT of this from BioWare until the press release; and then Mac folks had to ask them (repeatedly) "What's up with Mac? We see how you scr*wed over the Linux folks."

2) The toolset issue was brought up several months ago, but originally the plan was a toolset on every version. They dropped the ball and messed up in how the wrote the toolkit. They 'fessed up and Mac/Linux folks said "Rats!" but we dealt because we were told the deal! Just like the BeOS folks were told "Sorry! No BeOS version like we originally hoped for!" People were sad, but they coped.

Since I originally posted, I wrote to MacSoft and got an actual response from their Product Manager, Al Schilling. It was mostly PR MarketSpeak, but he did agree with my concerns and seems to be taking an active interest in the BioWare forums. He is making the effort to keep us -the potential users/customers- in the loop. For that, I applaud him. What the result will be in terms of the product, we will have to wait & see.

Ah well, I wouldn't pay too much attention to me. I was pretty upset and I guess I still am.
