the Jester
Legend
I'll just address abjure enemy here, since it's proven to be a go-to combat-changer for the oath of vengeance paladin in my game.
I'll also say that I've not seen the other builds in play.
However- that abjure enemy ability is AMAZING. It's one of those rare abilities that, once you use it, locks your enemy down, and it doesn't get a save or check or anything to get out of it. Last night in my 5e game, the pcs (1st through 4th level) were fighting a nest full of perytons, four of them in all (vs. four pcs). Abjure enemy let them reduce the number of enemies that could work against them at one time.
Note that it lasts one minute or until the target takes damage- so that peryton, not having any kind of ranged attack, was effectively out of the fight until the pcs turned to whomp all over it. This isn't the first time the paladin has used this tactic, either; he's yet to use his vow of enmity ability even once (and he has now hit level 5, after the dust settled).
I haven't seen the other builds in play, but a vengeance paladin is very dangerous.
