D&D 5E Oathbow magic?

The very first response to the OP (a response you quoted yourself, just above) stated that arrows fired from a magic weapon are considered magical. That was true in earlier editions but wasn't specified for 5e anywhere until the errata.
 

The reason for the line about magic staves being magic weapons in certain entries is that there's a line in a previous paragraph that allows all other magic staves to function as normal quarterstaves.

I only wish that the errata expanded that paragraph to state that magic rods can be used as normal clubs unless otherwise specified.
 

1e and 2e, magical Bow, Crossbow and Slings did not make arrow/bolts/stones/bullets magical when used, magical arrow/bolts/stones/bullets were needed to hurt creatures that needed magical or special arrow/bolts/stones/bullets

so the 5.0 DMG has been corrected
