I am beginning to get into Arcana Unearthed and I am integrating it into an existing campaign. Part of the overarching plot of this world has to do with a myriad of pink crystals that are vaguely magical, but that no one knows what they do. In reality they are splinters of a soul sundered with the Relics and Rituals spell. The evil guy is collecting them to try and restore a long dead demon prince (the ebon maw from the dragon article).
The party found one of these shards, and one character has Object Loresight as a spell. My question is, how powerful would this spell be in relation to an object. Would it give answers on an artifact? How about something like this that doesn't really have a purpose but if the "Maker" were revealed (Orcus), it would give away a lot of the plot. Any suggestions?
