[off-topic] can anyone read this?

It's not Linear A. The script, if it is properly a script, which people still argue about to some degree, is often called the "Phaistos script" because there aren't any other known inscriptions that are indisputably from the same writing system. It could be related to the sequence of Minoan scripts (Minoan Hieroglyphics/Linear A/Linear B) but the relationship is unclear. Some scholars think it may be of Anatolian origin, which could explain why it doesn't fit so well into the Minoan script tradition.
If this isn't proof that it comes from the Outer Gods, I don't know what is. It's probably a ritual to make the stars right or something.

Too bad I only have half of the disk (talisman?). After looking at the real thing I noticed my copy has the same inscription on both side. Although they are mirror images of each other. (spooky! :) ) I am guessing that when it was made the artist got lazy and simply pressed the the completed side into wax to make the reverse side. I also learned from looking around the web that there are a LOT of different interpretations of what it means. I didn't find two pages that had the same explaination. My favorite one is that its a calender followed by that its proof the earth was visited by ancient astronauts. :)

Sorry, my bad. One of the sources I checked on Google to confirm what I thought it said it was Linear A, which seemed reasonable to me.

Surprisingly, the rest of my post remains more or less accurate. ;)

it's a calendar for marking when the ancient astronauts are COMING BACK.

Don't worry - the other side is branded into the hand of the Nazi agent who tried to take it from you in that Tibetan tavern.

Personally, I'd bet money that it's a record of a treaty of some sort with some Anatolian power, Luwians, Hittites, Carians, etc.
