D&D General Official Campaign Setting Roll Call

Which campaign setting have you used (DM or player)?

At least your handwriting is recognizable as such.

I’ve been told on numerous occasions that my handwriting looks more like (and this a direct quote from my best friend) “an ink pen puked all over the page. It’s unreadable unless you write like a computer in all caps”.

Based on my experience with prescriptions, you either are, or are qualified to be, a doctor. ;)

Didn't do Darksun as a DM (But did as a player). Never seen Birthright. Never played on the newer campaign world.
I did read Ravnica, Theros, Wildemount and of these, Theros would be my pick.
But nothing beats Greyhawk and Forgot. (with Greyhawk on top).

Didn't the gods lose the war against the primordials?

(Also, anyone else notice that settings like making halflings evil/worse than evil? Eberron has the halfling mafia in Sharn, Dark Sun has cannibal halflings, and Dragonlance has the kender, which seem universally hated)

The Primordials bit was a 4e addition. One I personally liked, but worth noting that people who only played the setting in 2e wouldn't have any idea about that.

Also, there's definitely a trend to darken the hobbitses, because it's a good way to set yourself apart from Tolkien. Eberron of course has the dinosaur riding halflings of the Talenta Plains, but so many people play in Sharn that the Boromars are more common.

Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah. Also seems to be a theme of making goblins not evil, like in Ravnica, Eberron, Exandria, and so on.

Yeah. I realized that while typing my post, but the Boromar Clan is probably just as well known, as Sharn is a very common starting place.

I was just reading the 2e setting book last night and thinking about how I would never convince any of my groups to get excited enough about it to put up with the limitations it imposes.
It kind of reminds me of Avernus (I am currently running a Descent into Avernus campaign). Limited resources, everyone seems to want to kill you or enslave you in some way (devils want souls), and players hate playing there.

The thing is, Avernus is much more kind in certain ways than Athas. There's a river (though it is difficult to drink from, given the memory loss), you can get around fairly easily, you have a hollyphant with you, so on.
