Umm, is it just me, or having read over the revised TOH, the treasure at the end mentions a pile of coins repeatedly in room 33, but the treasure includes no coins at all ... huh?

I'd really hope they'd do a Return to the Tomb of Horrors conversion too ... that'd be great! I still use portions/ideas/elements of that module in my 3e campaign.

Compared to no save, 23 is easy. ;)
I was just reading the first couple of pages and noticed that there are a couple places where the PCs are teleported with no save (which isn't the way Teleport works in 3/3.5e). So there are some places where a lack of saves has been retained, but I presume not for deadly effects.

I skimmed this conversion over lunch, and it looks like a very sweet update -- worthy of Necromancer Games. Just the right mix of old and new for my tastes.

I know what you mean. Even our dwarven Cleric doesn't have a fort save of 12 and he's got the great fortitude feat.

Hmmm. At 9th level, my last 3e character was a human and had a fort save of +14 without great fortitude and with a 16 con. Of course, he was multiclassed. At any rate, that changes instant death into a better than 50% survival rate. And that's not counting buffs or magic items. Huge paradigm shift.

well, as everyone knows multi classing can really improve some saves. So, that character would be seen as having a high fort save for the level.

Downloading and looking forward to reading it...

A few randon comments to share with the group...

1. Did Gary G know about this? I would like to hear his comments. (Will the next old school school conversion also be a GG classic?)

2. As mentioned, tournament modules are very different than "regular" modules. Based on the comment regarding the module as a "I am going to knock you down a peg" tool, were gamers permitted to bring and use homegrown characters in tournament events? I did not know that.

3. I played the module as a player and I think we all made it through...did I forget to mention that the DM's player (tough gut knight) was bestowed a vorpal sword by his god right before the adventure? Ahhh...youth.

This is awesome, I really hope Bruce does a 3.5 update for the "Return to ...." boxed set. I would run these in a heartbeat.

As for the update due at the end of the month.... my guess its White Plume Mountain. Personally, Im hoping for it to be S4, The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth. :)
