Official WotC Power Cards... meh

I'd rather run cardstock through a laser printer myself. More expensive in the long-run maybe, but the value of having your character's real values on the cards makes it worth it.

Does anyone have any experience with using a single sheet of paper for all racial, feat, class features, items, and level powers instead of cards?

In our last campaign, even at lower levels like 7th, it starting becoming problematic to have more than a dozen cards for each player. They started getting mixed up, they were getting harder to look through to make a good selection, etc.

I was thinking of adding a page to our current Excel spreadsheet character sheets, but I was wondering if anyone else already had a good sheet for that. One major advantage of that is that I can use Excel well enough to auto-calculate changes in level, ability scores, etc. (just like Character Builder does).

Or, does Character Builder have an option for printing powers and such out on a single page (I have the demo version, but did not look into it closely enough yet)?

If you call up the "character sheet" via its button, you'll see that the power cards are appended to the end of the 2-sheet character sheet. You could print those out, then use some sort of counter placed on the card, to indicate when the power has been used.

My players actually print information in a format similar to the pregens in KotS. Simple and informative without wasted space on format (though we do have some additional things noted). I never really got the power card craze; maybe if they had pictures.

I like it better, personally. I hate shuffling cards. But my players disagree - they love the cards.

Not as of yet. I hope it does eventually!

That is one of the cards coming with the Miniatures packs. And it does not appear in any of the books by the way.

And I am sure some people will use the cards. Not sure how well they will sell but we will have to wait and see.

I use a very similar shorthand notation for my powers, though numbers in power text are often annotated with the source to make updates easy. Also, underlined things are not conditional on a hit.

equip free: +5pow to acrobatics or athletics check

One big problem with the cards from the chaacter generator is the text can be tiny, and the text can also run off the edge of the card so you can't actually read the condition.

It is because they made a one card fiits all frame and that really limited space.
