Well, I've approached WotC on other matters and have never gotten any reply whatsoever. The only time you've ever responded to anything I've mailed you, was two years ago when you defended Angelsboi. So from my experience with you, you only reply to personal emails, not business ones.

Oh, and Mr. Orcus, you have never conducted any business with me whatsoever so where you get off telling me how unprofessional I am I don't know. This is a messageboard, a public forum, a laymans Q&A area, a hangout for SOME publishers and writers; it is not, however, as I see it, a place where professional business negotiations are handled. Since no-one here has ever (with the exception of two people who don't actually post here very much anyway so they don't really count) conducted any business with me on anything remotely approaching a professional level, you can, quite frankly, do rude things with that opinion of yours, Mr. Orcus.

It is nice to see that you are doing your best to go even further in insulting people in the industry. I don't know where you intend to publish, but you are now disparaging one of the nicest people at WotC and have, so far, insulted two of the publishers most willing to look at unpublished authors.

Frankly, it looks like it is time for the thread to die.

I'm not talking about TAKING, I'm talking about merely referencing, as I indicated in my first post by an example.
Alright, let's look at your first post.
And this class uses the feat Spell Casting Prodigy from the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book...
Now, from the OGL
7. Use of Product Identity: You agree not to Use any Product Identity, including as an indication as to compatibility, except as expressly licensed in another, independent Agreement with the owner of each element of that Product Identity. You agree not to indicate compatibility or co-adaptability with any Trademark or Registered Trademark in conjunction with a work containing Open Game Content except as expressly licensed in another, independent Agreement with the owner of such Trademark or Registered Trademark. The use of any Product Identity in Open Game Content does not constitute a challenge to the ownership of that Product Identity. The owner of any Product Identity used in Open Game Content shall retain all rights, title and interest in and to that Product Identity.
And from the US Patent and Trademark Office, we find that Forgotten Realms is a registered trademark of WotC (under 1)Goods and Services: IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television series and production of motion pictures, Serial #76377470; 2) Goods and Services: IC 006. US 002 012 013 014 023 025 050. G & S: METAL FIGURINES MADE OF COMMON METAL. FIRST USE: 19881200. FIRST USE IN COMMERCE: 19881200, Serial #75616030; 3) Goods and Services: IC 028. US 022 038. G & S: fantasy role-playing games and board games, and game accessories; namely, booklets containing role-playing game scenarios, and computer game programs. FIRST USE: 19870700. FIRST USE IN COMMERCE: 19870700, Serial #74264733; and 4) Goods and Services: IC 016. US 022 037 038. G & S: fantasy adventure books, printed instruction booklets for the playing of fantasy adventure games, and calendars. FIRST USE: 19870500. FIRST USE IN COMMERCE: 19870500, Serial #74032502). Does that answer your question?

I'll agree with Patrick Lawinger, and I will add one more recommendation.

DDK, you need to remember an old cliche: "nothing succeeds like success." If you wish to succeed at a field, and need help, ASK THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY SUCCEEDED, and be polite.

90% of the time, UNEQUIVOCALLY, the people who have succeeded are more than willing to help, give advice, and give you the benefit of their experience.

I'll save your comments on unions for another place and time.
