Just Night saying he might do one. It wasn't a great blockbluster and after After Earth, who would want to give him cash to make films?

I think you guys are being way to critical. I heard the movies will move on from saving the noble savage. The movies will go into telling the story about how the big blue people are moved from their land to land for them by the new government started on the planet. There will be long traveling sequences. They will show the blue people shedding tears as they are forced to move from one place to the other. Some of the blue people will de from a genetically modified disease called 'blanket." The fourth movie will end with the blue people owning casinos and being the center of space gambling.

There's another sequel in the works where the blue people stand by the side of a highway and some gov't folks throw some litter out. The blue people cry. It's hella sad, yo.

Total Lifetime Grosses -- Domestic: $760,507,625 (27.3%) + Foreign: $2,021,767,547 (72.7%) = Worldwide: $2,782,275,172

When you have the top two moves of all time and that are twice as much as the third movie on the list, you can do as you like.

Umm, a couple of things here: Just because you can does not mean you should, number of dollars spent does not necessarily indicate quality.

Look man, large groups of people frequently share beliefs that are not necessarily correct. At one time people thought the Earth was flat and that the body humours needed to be kept in balance else you fall ill. At another, people believed witches were real and burnt real (non-witch) people alive. At yet another, millions of people thought that a certain type of person was inferior and strove to eradicate them from the planet. The moral here is that the herd isn't always on the right path. Hell man, look at lemmings.
