Ohio-It's not just cows and cornfields

Just moved here...

*grins crookedly* I just moved to a small town called Lima, OH from Atlanta, GA... don't ask o.o;

There's a few dedicated gamers out here, that I'm aware of, but I haven't gotten into any of the action as of yet.

My parents are in Sandusky now, which actually is an hour west of Cleveland, but when I was a kid we lived in Sheffield Lake.

By the way, I say Cleveland is where I'm from because whoever heard of North Ridgeville?

Anyone who grew up on the west side of Cleveland, or otherwise spent a lot of time there?

I live in Alliance. A cultural black hole near Akron, Canton and Kent. There's almost nothing worth noting here in the Carnation City. Other than that we had the Largest Wal Mart in the US when it was built, there may be a bigger one now.

If you're near Kent, I recommend stopping by Spellbinders for your RPing needs.

One of Ohio's famous cornfields (not mine!), it extends behind our house and the neighbors on the other side have one too. Sometimes they have soybeans in them though.

Edit: Because sometimes isn't spelled spmetimes...

There are only 5 things in Ohio:

1) Cincinatti
2) Columbus
3) Cleveland
4) Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (the rest of Dayton doesn't count. )
5) Cows & Cornfields.

I spent twenty-odd years in South Point, the southernmost city in Ohio (right at the tri-state for OH/WV/KY border).

Hey, Toledo ain't that bad! Although I face the stigma of not living in Ohio, I do live just about 45 minutes north of Toledo, and I do visit my sister-in-law in Eaton (suburb of Columbus) pretty frequently, so I'm almost right there...

Well my wife and her family are from Ohio, Marietta and Beverly mainly, but she doesn't post here so it probably doesn't count.

I'm in West Chester (just north of Cincy proper) and about 30 min south of Dayton. I do have to say that the gaming stores in the area (despite being from here) SUCK.
