Ok, I like it

For instances, the Prestige Classes from Love & War are probably underpowered now, but workable. I can rebuild them easily enough. However, almost all of the feats are usable as-is. That is great.

Love and War? Not familiar with that product. Who put it out?

Glad that you're liking the system. When you get your campaign up and running, tell us about it!

Well, they have had aberrations in their family, so sprouting actual tentacles is not too far-fecthed or "wahoo" in my opinion (IIRC it's real tentacles in Beta; I have to check the PF RPG if it's still the same).

I kind of picture it as not having real solid bones anymore. Becoming more mutable and less human(oid).

Exactly! Just as a sorcerer with the Undead bloodline slowly develops undead qualities (and undead start perceive him/her as one of them), I think that Aberrant bloodline causes such transformation as well.

Right. But only with touch spells, not with Enlarge Person, backscratching, using a weapon, etc.

(After a quick glance at the rules; I already put the hefty tome back into the shelf, so I'm not going to recheck until my poor arms have rested for a while ;)):

The book says that sorcerers with the Aberrant bloodline "show increasing traits of their tainted heritage" and the increased reach is due to 'Long Limbs' ability which (along with 'Unusual Anatomy') seems to imply that your limbs twist and lenghten... at least when you're casting touch spells. It does seem like a permanent physical change, but does not affect anything else but touch spells... hmmm... perhaps your limbs just become more "flexible" (i.e. can be extended/transformed into tendrils) and yet they cannot grasp a weapon?

Yeah, that's the part that really bugs me. it has no logical reason why only touch spells allow for greater reach. Compare the concept to the warshaper prestige class, which just plain gives you more reach; or the Iron Heart stance that gives you +5 ft reach. In the latter case, you awkwardly balance yourself extending further, and that does a pretty good job of explaining why you only benefit from the reach on your turn (and not on threatened area). The sorcerer bit just makes no sense. And not in an "I expect magic to be realistic" way.

Its because the only thing that is reaching out is a small tentacle growing from the sorcerers forehead (or wherever). The tentacle isn't strong enough to do anything meaningful except to simply make contact which is good enough to deliver a touch spell.

Makes sense to me!

That's possible, but it is also possible that the tentacle can only manifest during spellcasting, anyway: the magical energies coursing through the body cause the aberrant traits to manifest briefly.
