OK, WTF's up with my game store?

They haven't gotten a Dragon since 313, and now I see 315's out. The last KODT I saw there today had a cover date of October. They always get books in on time, but their periodicals are for crap. Never used to be like this.

Mine has started slowing up magazine-wise, too.

Clearly, this occuring near-simultanouesly in two separate parts of the world leads to only one conclusion:

Pod people, dude.

Freakin' pod people.

I asked him about KODT. He said, and I quote: "Kenzerco's going bankrupt." Now, he's always been a bit of doomsayer, although with Kenzer it seems plausible. Any truth to this? If they screw up my Knights fix so they can put out the umpteenth stupidly-titled rehash of some module I didn't want to buy 15 years ago, there's going to be some 'splaining to do.

I thought that Dirigible already explained this one? Pod people.

Though why its always pod people that society blames I dunno. I always blame things on those little green men...

...the ones that are supposed to guard some stuff...

...y'know... Leprechauns...its either them or "giger sock aliens".

D.

I really don't think Kenzer's having problems. I could be wrong, but I just don't think they are.

I would assume that periodicals just don't sell as well for the store to continue selling them. Often retail stores have to get a certain amount of a magazine to maintain their discount. If they aren't selling enough to warrant buying them, the store may have stopped. Ask the manager if anyone else has asked about it. It seems strange to me that a game store would have trouble selling copies of Dragon, Dungeon, KODT and such but you never know; esp if people get it delivered to their home.

Naw, I prefer the Pod-People explanation.

Speaking as a pod person, I can tell you that we would never allow a publication to fall a whole two months behind. Can we please stay away from the racial stereotyping? We pod people are hard-working and generally punctillious, productive citizens of your earth community.

If you have to blame somebody, blame the gremlins.

PS: Neither game shop here ever got #314, either. But then, they never put foil cover (or any special edition, for that matter) comics on the racks either, so they're shady already. Dang gremlins.

Get back in your pod, poddy. We don't like your kind on ENworld, with yer... pods... and...ummm...yer replacing good, honest folk with plant-based clones.

Poddy.

Yes, it would seriously suck to lose a desent comedy bookied in exchange for *shudder* HackMaster. That's like the doctor saying "Well, we cut off both your testicles by mistake during the surgury, but oin the up side, we've sewn a rapid squid in their place!"
