I really like the layout of Old School Hack.

I think that's one of the things that the Mentzer editions, AD&D 2e revised and D&D 4e are really lackiing: a page layout that is engaging -- and even inspiring -- to the eye of a new player.

I had the pleasure of playing this a few months ago. It is perhaps the perfect one-shot game, and I could certainly see using it for an ongoing campaign.
