Taco (as in 'Taco Bell')

Which probably is caused by being Dutch, otherwise it would probably be option 1.

This is how I always pronounced it, and my group always looked at me funny. They, on the other hand, always pronounced it THA-ko with a short "a".

I feel the same about the reverse. THACO as in "whack-o" sounds strange.

I wonder if it's a dialect thing. Southern US says THAY-Co. Northern US says it like "whack-o".

What about Britian and other countries. Is there a consensus?

Down in Ms, the gamer I know pronounce it Thack-Ko. Thay-ko sounds foreign to me.

And there was one guy down here who'd always call it Tee-Aych-Ay-See-Zero.

Though I never liked the term (I liked the old to hit system from 1eAD&D better) I pronounced it like Whack-oh. However, as I'm looking at it now, it should have been THACK - Zero. I NEVER say oh when I mean zero, guess I was around computer programmers from too early an age (and I was born in 1970.)

I have heard it mainly pronounced two ways:
Taco (like the food) - less common
Thaco (rhymes with taco the food) - more common

I have also heard thack-o (rhymes with jack), mainly at Cons.

I have never heard thay-co.
