I'm getting ready to run a d20 Modern-based Old West game and I was wondering if anyone here cold point me to any free online resources dealing with the Old West? Thanks.

I posted these in your thread on rpg.net, but perhaps you didn't see them:
and of course, once your budget allows just check the sig. ;)
Yep, I saw them, just hadn't gotten around to saying thanks yet. :) Some useful stuff, but I figured I'd ask here also, since I know some people don't here don't go to RPG.net. Some people seem to think it's too chaotic or something. . .
I wish I could afford Sidewinder; I've heard good things. It sounds like it would be perfect. But it, like The End and Rapture, will just have to wait. :(

Too bad Sidewinder Recoiled isn't in the cards for you right now. It is exactly what you need.
It was in the cards for me :) I'm going to run a Wild West game as a break from our normal campaign; it's going to be a kind of Wild Wild West meets Hellboy meets Van Helsing riff. This is exactly what I need. Looks fantastic.

One thing that would make Deadlands D20 perfect would be if it were based on D20 Modern...
Sidewinder fits THAT niche perfectly.... The only thing Sidewinder lacks to make it pretty much perfect is FX stuff... Which can easily be put in.

A little Deadlands D20 and Sidewinder mixin' -n- matchin' is the way to go, there...
I need to make the Huckster and the Blessed and Shamans and stuff into Advanced classes... :)

If you want to add some FX to your Sidewinder, I recommend that you check out the Brands from Spellslinger that Fantasy Flight has recently put out. You can easily make the Brands into advanced classes and off you go.

I think it could actually take a tad more tweaking than that, but is very useable and is subtle enough magic to be used in a game of Recoiled if magic is to your liking.

Just out of curiousity C.B., do you plan on having magic scale all the way up to 9th level spells? Or are you planning on keeping to the lower scale of Modern with it's maximum of 5th level?
