Pathfinder 1E on hold - One by land, two by sea-Pathfinder RPG-OOC

Thanks for confirming that I did hp correctly, and for pointing out my error in computing skill points. I have added and allocated 3 additional skill points.

If "Hero Lab had caught that," then I still wouldn't know any more than I knew before, but as it is, I have learned something. (Feels pretty good to learn, I'm just sayin'...)

Kids these days and their new-fangled contraptions... I did all my stuff by hand and that's the way I like it.

Also Hero Lab isn't free... or is it?

Actually, I think it is free to get your first character on HeroLab, but I think you have to pay to have more than one. There may be a small number greater than one that are free, I'm not sure. I decided it probably wasn't for me, so I ignore it.

I like HeroLab not because it keeps me from having to know the rules - in fact, I've picked up a lot from using it through checking things HL throws out that don't seem to make sense to me - but because it instantly lets me see all of the effects on my character when I change stats, add a feat or a piece of equipment, etc. I have a strong tendency to make sub-optimal choices in favor of fluff, and HL lets me see just how sub-optimal so I can keep it from veering into 'suicidal.'

Cost can be prohibitive if you want everything at once now that there are so many add-on packs for Pathfinder. I can't remember how much the demo (free) version allows you to access, but the key difference is that with it you can't save or print characters.
