"I thank you. I can only hope you can. Perhaps I can offer you some kind of reward if you can. I'm sure I'll figure out something. I just feel bad for the others who didn't make it back."

"No reward necessary, although some travel expenses might be considerate ;) says Aiken

"Thank you, tis nice to be in such noble company."

Valdor offers you all a chance to stow your things, bathe if you wish, and gives you a few rooms. He has only 3 guest rooms, so he offers Kali one room, and the 2 other rooms the men can split however they like. He is open for more discussion if you wish, otherwise eventualy he will call it a night.

OOC: Any other questions? Safe to move on?

Oirhandir was eager to wash the dust of the road from his body, and to take trance on a comfortable cushion for a night...the change was refreshing. Oirhandir didn't care who his companion for the night was, but he admitted to himself that if forced to choose, he'd probably pick Aiken. For some reason, he felt responsible for the human...maybe he felt the man hadn't known quite what he was getting into.

Oirhandir continued to sit and talk with Valdor, but started looking for an opportunity to have some private words with either Violet or Blue, or both.

Wink wink nudg nudg :] [/sblock]

ooc moving on is fine.

And as things go Aiken ends up sharing a room with Oirhandir, the young rogue has no problems with the sleeping arangements one way or the other.

Kali takes the opportunity to bath and refresh herself. She will relax in the bed, safe at least for one night and to rest up for the coming days. Though she had traveled with Oirhandir for only a short time, still she felt his loss and anger keenly and was eager to help him avenge Lord Valdor's losses. Besides she thought as she drifted off, in this town who knows what dirt you could dig up.

Oirhandir seized an opportunity to speak with Blue privately. "Blue, could we have a word alone?" When the young elf assented, Oirhandir continued. "Have you heard of me? Has Scarlet spoken of me since we last saw each other?"

After the youth gave his answer, the bard continued. "I care a great deal for Scarlet, and by extension, for you and Violet as well. Lord Valdor has spoken of his plight and yours, and it troubles me greatly. I wish for you and your sisters to be able to pay off your debt to Lord Valdor, and to freely choose your own destiny, not be auctioned off like some herd to some greedy bidder. Do you know something about why Lord Valdor's caravans are being attacked that you do not share with him? Does your family have some enemy who might be behind this? If you've a secret, know that it is safe with me."

Oirhandir had another question, too. "Valdor has spoken of a Garza Vahan. Do you know of this one? Is he merely a businessman who covets some property, or do you know of anything more sinister about him? Please help me, Blue. If you know nothing of these things, then it is as it is, but if you can help me, then I and my friends can better help you."[sblock=OoC: ]Of course, depending on Blue's answers, Oirhandir may have other questions. And let us not forget Oirhandir's skills with Diplomacy (+9), he'll certainly use that here.[/sblock]

"I only saw her for a day or two once she got back before she went to the Plantation, but she was exited about someone, I supposed it was you. I tend to tune her out when she gets all giddy and girly about stuff," Blue admits. "She and Violet tend to go off chattering, so I slip out when they get distracted."

Blue shrugs, "I'm looking forward to Scarlet giving me the plantion soon, and Valdor's been teaching me stuff. I think we can form a pretty strong business bond, but I don't see anyone being threatened enough to kill over that.

"I think he was hitting on Scarlet a while back, but again, that's girly talk. She mentioned him once or twice, and I don't think she liked him."
