Nodis and Aiken do manage to find out fairly easily the location of Garza's home, as well as his place of business, before late afternoon. (Heading back to Valdor's place?}

ooc: Yes, going back was the idea.

In Town
OOC: Cool, just wanted to make sure you were aware of that little fact.
You head back to Valdor's (I'll move on more after combat).

Combat:
Oirhandir misses badly (firing from a moving horse is even harder, so you missed pretty bad) as he calls out to Kali while passing her as he moves away on horseback.

One thug carefully rides forward towards Oirhandir and Kali, while the other seems to have sliped into the trees, and is hard to follow from a distance.

[sblock=Combat]Initiative:
Kali (1/6 HP)
2 Thugs in Trees (1 injured badly)
Oirhandir (17/19 HP)
Lupic (-3/27 HP - Stable)
Even More Thugs

Kali is up [/sblock]

Oirhandir continued to ride away from the mounted thug, stopping to turn and loose another arrow at him. It appeared that his arrow might have struck, but at that distance even the elf's keen eyes couldn't tell if it had merely lodged in the man's armor.[sblock=OoC: ]Again, riding for 1 move action or to a distance of 90' from the man, whichever is closer. Adjusted attack roll is d20+6+1 (Inspire Courage) = 14, which is iffy. If that hits, damage is d8+1 = 8.

Er, and two things: I thought Oirhandir was back up to 15 hp. The other thing is that doesn't the mounted archery penalty only apply if your mount is double moving or running? Oirhandir knows he isn't that great a rider, and has been single moving instead of double moving for that very reason.[/sblock]

Kali will keep her distance from the thug, riding away from the archer and thug. She nods grimly to Oirhandir, at his direction she keeps a distance but tries to help by firing at the thug on horseback.

OOC: [sblock] My HP in the last post were still at 5/6 and should be at 1/6 per the previous hit. Basically I will try to keep out of arrow range of the archer, while staying in arrow range of the thug on horseback so Oirhandir and I can team up a bit while reducing my exposure.[/sblock]

Combat:
Kali strikes the thug on hoseback barely with her shot, though doesn't seem too hurt him much.

The two archers fire, one striking Oirhandir, grazing his cheek.

Oirhandir keeps his distance, and misses.

The thug on horseback halts his pursuit, though he keeps looking in the direction of Oirhandir and Kali menacingly.

The remaining thug on the ground appears near Lupic and begins to drag him into the woods.

[sblock=combat]Initiative:
Kali (1/6 HP)
2 Thugs in Trees (1 injured badly)
Oirhandir (16/19 HP)
Lupic (-3/27 HP - Stable)
Thug on Horseback (mildly hurt)
Thug elsewhere

Kali is up [/sblock]

Oirhandir muttered an oath in elvish as he once again felt the bite of a broadhead. Luckily, this one only grazed him.

Seeing his opponent stop, Oirhandir kept some distance between them, then loosed another arrow which struck home.[sblock=OoC: ]First, condolences on your illness. I knew you weren't feeling good, but thought you were pretty much recovered since you were posting elsewhere.

Second, was that an arrow of healing that Oirhandir got hit with? :) He was down to 15/19 after casting CMW on himself. If you were thinking he was at 19/19 and took 3 off, then I assume that he's at 12/19 after the bowshot that grazed his cheek.

Oirhandir will try to maintain 90' to the thug on horseback, but will not double move to do so. His shot is d20 + 6 = 22, which I'm pretty sure hits. I checked, and Inspire Courage has worn off. I considered riding up close enough for Precise Shot, but am glad I didn't. Um, and unless magic is involved, I'd expect the guys in the trees to be at least -1 for range (not saying you haven't been applying that, just thinking out loud). Oh, and damage on Oirhandir's shot was d8 + 1 = 6, a decent roll for once.

Poor Lupic. I hope we can drive this guy on horse off in time to get to him.[/sblock]

I've been gone for almost a week, and next week likely isn't going to be much better. My access will be spotty till some time in December due to the Holidays, as well as my Wife's upcoming surgery. Please NPC me as appropriate.

I will try to access the site, but I can't garuntee anything.
