A hint. I never discussed if you can take more than one 5-foot step in a round. Only where it said so.

And you and a select few are the only one who (mis)read it ?

Nevermind that almost all here have read another way. Nevermind that the Sage read it another way. And nevermind that the designers did not actually write that. Right ?

Ever wondered why there are so many questions about 5-foot steps? Why there often come someone along asking where it say you can only make one in a round? Only two here said that they read page 117 or 121 different. Are the rest of the accounts your alter egos?

And how come you kept telling me about what 5-foot steps did when I only made a comment to those two pages.

If you insist I said otherwise than I claim it can be solved by reading the previous posts. Something I have a feeling you didn't do in the first place.

Even though I never minded a good flamewar I do feel they need some sort of direction. You don't bring any.

I am not mad at any one

I am not mad at anyone So I apologize it appeared that way.

Now here is my problem:
5-Foot Step:
A small position adjustment that does not count as a move in combat. Usually (but not always), a 5-Foot Step is permitted in conjunction with a full-round action and may be taken at any point in the round. Most Partial actions also permit a 5-Foot Step. This movement does not provoke an attack of opportunity.

This states that a 5-foot step does not count as a move in combat. I am just saying that after my first "small position adjustment" with my full-round action, since by definition I have not move, I should get a second small position adjustment, with my partial.

I believed from the beginning that you may only take one 5-foot step, but I just have not been able to find were it says this. All I have been able to find says I can (at least the way I read it). I will have to get back to my books and the FAQ.

Let me know more of your views and any were else it might say that you only get one 5-foot step.

No need. It was me who got angry because they answered my post while ignoring the connection it was made in.

Only one 5-foot step per round. Page 117 (Deff. for movement) call a 5-foot step a move. Therefore when you have taken a 5-foot step you must have moved an actual distance (No longer entitled to a 5-foot step).

I think they wrote "actual" because your character move a lot without actually leaving his square.

Once your character leaves his square he has made an actual movement.

It might ssay somewhere in the book. Haven't looked through it resently.

Thank you all. I see it now, sorry for the trouble. I just got stuck on the fact that it says “A small position adjustment that does not count as a move in combat.”

"If you move no actual distance in a round, you can take one 5-foot step".
Yes the first 5-foot step would count as a moving an actual distance.

Thank you again

Correctomondo, now only Bonedagger has to get it as well.
