One question on the Realms

Mjollnir

First Post
I still can not undestand why in "Silver Marches" and other Forgotten Realms sources they still speak of Bruenor Battlehammer as king of Mithril Hall when in Salvatore's novel ("Siege of Darkness" I think) it is said that Gandalug, first leader of clan Battlehammer is renamed king of the dwarven citadel and Bruenor returns to Icewind Dale.
Am I wrong?
Thank u all :)

No - you're not wrong about Siege of Darkness. However, what happens in the later books, like Sea of Swords or Thousand Orcs? Does Bruenor ever come back to Mithril Hall? (I haven't read that far.)

Also note that the game material and novels don't always jive, especially for the poor FR. Sometimes, though, that can be a very good thing.

It's been a while since I read any of Salvatore's books but I'm pretty sure that arnwyn is right and that they switched and Bruenor became king again.

It might be that Gandalug goes crazy, although I could be getting him confused with the the ancient dward king from Rockhome in Mystara (Denwark?).

Gandalung dies of natural causes at the end of sea of swords, Bruenor sets off back to Mithral Hall to take over his previous role as king. I dont know what occurs in thousand orcs.
