Well its better than stuck in front of the TV specials I'll give you that.

Have you guys heard about Olive the other reindeer? Apparently Olive is a dog, who hears the Rudolph song and misinterpets the "all of the other reindeer" bit and takes it upon himself (herself? I don't know) to be the other reindeer...

A clever little concept for a new special, I s'pose.

It was a picture book first. Very amusing. The TV special sucks, compared to the book. IMO, natch.

We do everything Christmas Eve so I'll be sitting around the house bored all day, I'm sure I'll end up in front of the computer.

Christmas is literally just another weekday here in Japan. Classes are still in session and the government still operates.

Hear that. Boss offered me the day off though, but I don't particularly want/need special priviledges. Oshogatu is going to be sweat though.... a full week off (except monday morning) I'm just going to sit around and chill out and watch some movies and hang out with the gf and...
oh, right, and move. :(

Dragongirl -- I'm very sorry to hear that.

Is it any wonder the suicide rate goes up at this time of year.

Sorry. Thats an urban myth. It sounds good but apparently the holidays actually are a time of good cheer. Reading the actual numbers might even suggest suicide rates possibly go down on holidays. :)

As to the question posed in the thread - I might check in during the afternoon on christmas if the kids take a nap. Otherwise I will be playing with new toys, theirs and (maybe) mine :D
