ONLINE Purchases

Thanks a whole lot for all who have chimed in with their take on both sites.

Are there any other online retail site worth exploring for PDF versions of manuals?

Has anyone purchased the Dark Legacies Campaign Manual and Players' Guide of late? What are your views on its Crunch and Fluff?

I am looking at acquiring Campaign Setting and Alternative Rules Manuals that will allow me to incorporate a dark and grittier feel, flavour and crunch to my D&D games.

Iron Heroes is high on my list. I would prefer to purchase these PDF if possible, since that will save me the hassle of worrying about shipping and handling and such since I have and will be moving around quite abit. Anyone? :D

Also, if you would like to give me their contact info, I'll ensure that they can order more. Cheers.

The retailer in question is Comics Mart (Singapore). The email address of the contact person there is carol AT comicsmart DOT com

But she's quoted me close to SG$50 for each manual, which I am certain would be a whole lot cheaper if I bought it directly from Red Spires Press (even after currency conversion).

Is there a PDF version for either or both of these manuals? What are your shipping and handling charges to ship to Singapore and how long does it take?

:D

Just chiming in that I have used a credit card at both places with no ill repercussions yet! Even with that said, it is probably worth knowing the policy of the card you tend to use online to know exactly how they handle unauthorized purchases or stolen credit card numbers.

We don't do PDF versions currently, no. Shipping will vary from retailer to retailer and depending on what country you're ordering from. ENWorld actually sells it so why not support Morrus and company. :)

Or you can reference our online retail locator.

Or you can buy it direct, which is always nice for us: http://www.studio2publishing.com/shop/index.php?cPath=38&osCsid=3bc8f6dc44b6acc730662ab091aeb33f and guarantees immediate shipping. :)

I've also never had any problems with credit card transactions with either rpgnow or dtrpg. It is probably also worth mentioning that (with rpgnow at least) stroring your credit card details with them is optional - you can opt to not do so and just re-enter your information for each transaction.

As for secure sites, you are never guarenteed. Obviously, you should make sure that you're operating through the secure http protocol (just look for https:// in the address bar or the locked padlock icon in the bottom right of your browser). But not even this guarentees that your details are entirely secure. I remember someone telling me of a website which used a secure site for their transactions, which were then forwarded (credit card details included) using an unencrypted email :\ Not that I think rpgnow or dtrpg operate this way and I've certainly done a lot of business with the former (though I don't opt to store my credit card details with them either).
