I think no matter what some people may or may not think, the men and women behind the creation and development of these games obviously love them and pour their time, energy and creativity into them. It stands to reason that they love gaming, as they have made it their life.
As an artist I don't look at other peoples art and think: 'Look away, for they are rivals! I spit on their art because I want people to only look at and admire my art! There can be only one!'. I look at it on its merits, and enjoy it (or not) with perhaps a better appreciation than most because I know the skill or talent required to produce a piece of work like that, being an artist myself.
WotC ... Paizo ... empty names to me. They produce neither animosity nor sympathy in me. As for the individuals who have made the game I love and enjoy, I have a deep sense of admiration and gratitude.
