Dynasties and Demagogues from Atlas Games

I was sitting here wishing there were better resources for running city games... and revisiting this classic that I had all but forgotten about.

I was somewhat surprised to see that there does not seem to be an electronic product version of this out. :(

Although no longer available through RPGNow.com, where I purchased my own copy, Atlas still makes their eProducts available through e23 (Note they use the "Penumbra" trademark/prefix for alphabetical ordering of their stock which, ironically or appropriately, partially obscures finding the download ;) ) -

Hmmm... I searched for it under Atlas at e23 and didn't turn it up. Whatdya know!

Thanks!

I think you guys are approaching this from the wrong direction.

As I understand it, I am stuck on a desert island with my gaming group and a limited selection of roleplaying material. Sounds like a golden opportunity to force them to play all those cool games they refuse to try despite my best efforts.

My list would therefore be :-

1. True 20
2. Mutants and Masterminds 1st edition (I don't have 2nd edition)
3. Lone Wolf
4. D20 Modern
5. D20 Call of Cthulhu
6. Star Wars revised core rulebook

They still woudn't play. :D

1. d20 Modern
2. Mutants & Masterminds 2e
3. Mutants & Masterminds Mastermind's Manual
4. Blood & Fists
5. d20 Mecha
6. d20 Call of Cthulhu

d20 Modern as the core system, with M&M for the odd foray into higher-powered gaming.

M&M as an alternative game as well as...

M&M MM(MMM?) to make M&M material Modern-compatible so I can use it as a point-buy system for Modern, especially for monster creation.

Blood and Fists because it's possibly the best RPG supplement ever... if not EVAR, which is even longer.

d20 Mecha for all my vehichular needs.

d20 CoC because with this and the above, I could run a Children of an Elder God campaign, and anyway it's an excellent book.

If I got to pick six books to take with me, after the first two or three, tops, I'd be moving out of "must have" territory and into "it'd be convenient to have it along". D&D is basically the only RPG I know well enough that I could run a credible session of it with nothing at hand but my dice bag. So...

1. PHB.
2. SW d20 RCR
3. Mutants and Masterminds 2nd Ed.

After that...

4. DMG
5. Monster Manual
6. PHB II

In all likelihood, I'd instead use the unused slots for more non-d20 books.

Hmm. Saying the d20 SRD is cheating, but it's hard to come up with a list of only 6 otherwise...

1) d20 SRD. (I never liked mind flayers, anyway!)
2) Unearthed Arcana.

Most of Unearthed Arcana is in the SRD.
