D&D 5E [OOC] A Light Hearted Princes of Elemental Evil Hack and Slash

Hey, All, successful turnout today, so I'm celebrating. I'll post something in the IC later tonight. Need a couple hours to let the adrenaline run its course. More from me soon!

Good point. See my suggestion in the IC thread. Dent (and perhaps Carradoc) and illusory shoalar go strait to Jolly to collect the 100gp "silver" bounty. The others can either be disguised by illusion, hide with illusions, be a cat or rat (in the case of the druid), or be prisoners. I don't like too much the idea of prisoners, since we could get separated...

Based on what Tom said, it sounded like Shoalar had a lot of pull. He was a direct report to Jolly, bypassing the priests. I think he could probably walk in there with prisoners, especially if there is an implication that they have important information or some such.

ETA: Anyone know where the map of the Keep went? I'm sure I am missing it.

Ok, I'm up for it.

I haven't read the IC yet, so I do not know if ya'll have already moved on the course of action discussed here, but another way to infiltrate the keep could be that Dent masquerades as himself leading a band of fugitives and/or captives. This may be kinda a bitter pill to swallow (no one likes pretending to be an underling, I get it), but it's an alternative. Not sure it's a good alternative. Just throwing it out there. I took Bad Reputation for Dent and I'd like to see it get some use, and this is one way to be useful.

OK, I just read that Tolan smeared blood on himself to make himself appear to be abused. That was going to be my suggestion for Dent, which would free up Tolan to play the part of the Reaver. I'm late to this party and don't mind in the slightest playing a prisoner. Really, it's pretty reasonable to assume that if Dent got caught, they'd leave him in his armor; they'd want his armor to sell it or give it to someone at the keep, but wouldn't want to lug it around themselves. What better way to get the armor to the keep than to make the prisoner wear it there? I imagine the captors would be thinking they were going to kill Dent once they got to the keep, so it wouldn't matter to leave him in his armor. Plus, if he falls in the river and drowns in it, so much the better.

I can have Dent pretend to be hobbled. Leave him in his armor, smear blood and dirt all over himself, and someone magic up his weapon to hide it via illusion (is that possible?), or stow his weapon somewhere close at hand where he can grab it quick.

Let me know. I'll wait to post for Dent until I hear back here.

I'd like to know how you got the grid overlay on there.
Not Creamsteak, but best guess is he set the image as the background of an excel sheet or similar. Then you just gotta size the grid correctly.

I think the point being that SINCE you're late to the party, you weren't there when we first went through the keep. Therefore, more in line with your suggestion above, you're free to be a freelance mercenary or similar, as you weren't seen with known AdventurersTM. Just don't display you silver.
