I feel like I should point out, just in case it becomes important with regard to more mistaken identity / internecine conflict type shenanigans, Tolan's shield is one of the horseshoe crab things he took off a dead reaver.

Huh, come to think about it, I still have one of the Stone Monastery masks and some leather armor with feathers on it from the vulture guys we killed. We should just start mixing and matching to really screw them up.

P.S. Probably just say that Tolan had his shield out already, it takes an action to put it on.

Seeing from Tolan's swing that the die was cast

I think one could argue that with my [1] attack roll, I was more waving my sword around for emphasis than actually attacking

Also, I assumed that "It looks like the Earth cultists are prepared to fight." meant that this was actually going down.

I think we were all waiting for someone to have enough guts to start this fight. Not being good can have its advantages! ;-)

Awesome! I think we all started with a point of inspiration for writing a character background? I don't remember using Dent's, so he may still have it.

In other news, my router at home seems to have crapped out. It's either that or we're having synch issues. The customer service guy I talked to this evening was very nice but could not resolve the issue remotely. The company has put in a ticket for tech to come out here, but the earliest appointment is September 22. I'll post when I can from work (but tomorrow and Friday are my busy days each week), and maaaaaybe will hotspot my smartphone from time to time for home access, but it's expensive to go through the phone rather than through the unlimited access we get normally from our ISP. Thanks for being patient guys. I know we just entered combat, so I'll keep up best I can. [MENTION=552]Creamsteak[/MENTION], please NPC Dent if you need to forward the IC. Dent will pretty much do what I just had him do, attack with the longsword, shove to knock prone (or shove a foe down the open stairwell into the pit with the growling thing!), and protect an ally within 5'. Dent has two uses of divine smite remaining today; feel free to use those up, too.

I added a move to Damien's recent action. He's trying to get cover from the priest and force the other guard to travel further if he wants to get to him. Also trying to keep a route to the door available.
