D&D 5E [OOC] A Light Hearted Princes of Elemental Evil Hack and Slash

Creamsteak I edited my action to attempt to draw OAs from the two monks adjacent to Damien. I realized I had enough movement to attempt to flee and get back. I guess I could even attempt it with the abbess, but I'm a little worried about her getting rid of my spell in one go.

Okay, I believe Tolan was at 16, so he'll get the 16, and you get the 20. That brings you to 28 and him to 32 (ish), previous to your hit dice spending.

CanadienneBacon Just a note, I think Andy Crawford (the D&D Rules guy) clarified that you could take the bonus action shove before you attack with your weapon. The wording just locks you into using your action to attack if you opt for the shove. It makes Shield Master more effective for you. If you succeed with the shove, you get advantage on your attack.

Thanks. I'm glad to know that, it certainly would be nice to get advantage. Creamsteak, I always prefer to get DM buy-in before I roll with anything Mearls or Crawford say. Do you want to play it as Crawford suggests?

Also, did Dent hit the abbess with his longsword attack? It looks like she resisted his attempt to knock her prone, so I am guessing Dent does not get advantage on his attack roll. Let me know if he hit her with his pointy end, though.

Thanks. I noted the 20, plus the first HD I rolled for 14, plus the -4 hp Dent just suffered from the abbess. All told, he's at 38/42 hp right now.

Would it help you if I resumed including Dent's hp in my OOC block for each post I do in the game?

Any chance Dent's Fighting Style (Protection) would mean that the abbess's attack on Aridha suffered disadvantage, Creamsteak? Hate to ask you to retcon, but if it helps Aridha stay up, it's worth it. Thanks!
