Background
The Cage, Nexus of the planes. The city has more political intrigue than Waterdeep, the people are more arrogant Westgate Merchants, and the air's more foul than a Zhentil Keep sewer. You've gotta hate it...
You've gotta ask yourself, how'd I'd end up in a place like this? Me? I was traveling down the Dragon's Coast in Faerun, I was walking through some crumbling arch that was part of the road, then I was in the middle of the Hive. At first glance I thought I'd taken a magic back road, little did I know it was in a different plane. After figuring that out I sought out a wizard, thought I might pay for Spell to take me back. Well that's when you learn magic doesn't work the same way in the City of Doors, apt name too because if you want to find a way back home you got to find a key and the door. -Memoirs of a Traveler

Mystery and Self Preservation
Welcome to Sigil the City of Doors, are you a native or is this your first time visiting. We can discuss that when you're in the game, our goal is to get you back, or at least that may be your motivation. Let's flesh out the details when you get here, but you should ask yourself where are you from? We're playing with more traditional D&D rules, so laser guns and psionics won't be used. Faerun or Greyhawk, some custom setting or a native of the Cage. Let's keep you alive long enough to see the story to the end, or maybe get into a debate with a Dustman on if you are truly alive.

Playable Races
Demi-Human ((As Humans Cosmetically different))
Aasimar ((Monster Manual)) LA +1
Tiefling ((Monster Manual)) LA +1
Genasi ((Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Races of Faerun)) LA +1
Githzerai ((Monster Manual)) LA +2
Core Races ((Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Halflings, Gnomes, Half Elfs, and Half Orcs / PHB))

Starting Race Book Selection
Each of the books have been stated for which DND 3.5 racial stats will be used, this is because there are multiple listings of the same races in D&D 3.5. I ask that you respect the choices I have made for the game.

Level Adjustment
The Adventure will begin at level 1, characters with level adjustment will have to wait to level up longer. Example a Level 1 Githzerai Monk will not reach level 2 until they have enough experience to reach level 4. This is due to their level adjustment of +2 making their effective character level 3 at the start of the game, ultimately this balances out the racial abilities that a human or elf may not get.

House Rules
Stats: Elite Array 15,14,13,12,10,8
Wealth: Average or Starting Package
Books: PHB, PHB II, MM, Races of Faerun ((Genasi and Genasi Feats)), Complete Series ((Except Complete Psionics))
Skills: Spot & Listen is replaced with perception, Move Silently and Hide is replaced with stealth
Dice Rolls: Physical or Available Dice

Dungeon Master Expectations
I am not the best Dungeon Master out there, this is a small community and I've made the mistake of forgetting to check back on my post because I didn't see an alert. Having seen that mistake I will be attempting to rectify it in future attempts, help me tell this story and let us see where we go. I expect to stay more in tune with the thread and community and look even without alert for a response, I will try and get a response within five days of posting. Please adhere to the same time frame, after 72 hrs I may move on if I feel fit.

So If you want to pull up a chair and set up a character know this, give me a story of who they are, what they do, and I'll figure out how they ended up here. Just remember were still level 1, but that can mean a lot more for those of a plane touched race child to a Devil, an Angel, a Djinn, or even one of the first and most ancient races a Githzerai.
