(OOC) DND 3.5 Enter Planescape

Post is up.

I was waffling on taking Celestial as my bonus language. I wanted the languages of the stuff I was going to summon and everything is infernal and celestial. I took infernal.

I took draconic because of the lizard people in the dungeon at the beginning of the adventure (and wizards can trade a language for draconic)

Then I randomly chose Undercommon. I'm not sure why. Mostly because I wasn't really sure what else to choose. So now I'm kicking myself for not taking celestial instead.

@OneCrappy DM

Are we rping trying to find a safe place to rest? Should I do a gather info check?

He’d use either disguise self to (blend in at appropriate times and possibly avoid trouble), or, worse case, charm person or hypnotise to get some proper help.

I can mark off a spell slot, if you think it’s appropriate.

In fact, i could probably convince the Aasimar to settle down.

@TaranTheWanderer

Those last few prompts were the result of your diplomacy moving the unfriendly advisory into indifferent and avoiding combat, the easiest way to travel from what you can see is to stay on a main road until you find yourself a place to stay. Now if you want to gather information to get you more details roll that and a d4+1.
The disguise self isn't going to be helpul you don't look like you're from here no matter how much you try to blend in clothes. you would need something closer to perform acting.

If you want to cast a spell you can go though it may change the attitude of the people you cast it on and thus undoing your previous roll of 22.

Okay, fair enough. If it seems easy enough to find a place, he will do that. Mostly, I wanted to make an ally of the half-fiend by helping to calm the Aasimar.

The disguise wasn’t so much to pretend to be a local, it was to look like a local so as to avoid needing to talk to anyone. Obviously, as soon as he opens his mouth, he will look like an outsider. He is trying to avoid giving people a reason to talk to him in the first place. Disguise self would also hide the backpack which would avoid anyone tempted to try to rob him. .

Of course, that means I wouldn’t do a gather info. I’ll save that for after he finds a room, I guess.
