Ooh new shiny Edition!!!!!

I've always been like that. I will be an enthusiastic lover of 5e until I've played it for at least a year. I hope I will continue to love it after that, but I will start to get very critical then (and only then - unless they do something horribly wrong).

I'm looking forward to 5e because, while I loved every edition of D&D I've played, I've had issues with all of them.

I know I'll have issues with 5e (no game is perfect after all). BUT, I'm hoping being able to switch out, add, or remove rules modules will help mitigate most issues I'll have.

Plus it's nice having Monte Cook back. A new version of Ptolus from him would be a great, since I didn't manage to get a hardcover last time. :(

It is neither fanboyism, nor lack of spine.

It is loving games, being a dedicated hobbist with a broad palate and inquisitive nature. New and shiny is... well, new and shiny, dangit!

I'm really looking forward to it, but that's because I look forward to devouring any new system. I'm a tinkerer, and new mechanics and methods of play make me incredibly happy. It could be a horrible, terrible game overall, but all it needs is one clever mechanic or trick to "borrow" and it'll be worth it for me. And since I've already found two just in the preview material, I'm happy.
