Ooh new shiny Edition!!!!!

The L&L articles slowly destroyed my ability to be excited about 5E (anyone who spent time in their comment section could probably see this happening). Before them, I was quite comfortable with the notion of 5th edition. The continued blogs and polls since the announcement have cemented my discomfort with the way things are being handled and the way the folks involved are looking at things.

It will be what it will be, and I cannot say now whether or not I will appreciate the ultimate result, but I am unable to be enthusiastic for that result at this time. Certainly, the times ahead are going to be interesting, and I intend to participate as much as I can during the design, but even after doing so, I don't know whether I will actually want to invest any money in the edition on release.

I'm interested in what they come up with for 5e. I've already given up on 3e & 4e and only play old-school with my group. If 5e is really good, maybe I'll switch. If it isn't, I'll stick with what I've already got. Either way, it's a no-lose proposition.
