Has D&Dn made anyone else realize that they are really just a complete fanboy able to be swayed to a new edition with a nod from WotC?

It made me realize it. Go D&Dn!

It's got my attention to say the least and I enjoy talking about what could be in the next edition, but I'm still reserved and in a wait-and-see approach.

It's weird. I've felt excited about most new game stuff that comes down my pipe. It's weird because 4e was kind of my one exception. I was never really pumped about 4e. Nothing hooked me on it. Nothing leapt out and screamed "THIS IS GOING TO BE SO MUCH MORE AWESOME."

I'm a neophile, generally speaking, so I kind of wonder what it was about 4e or its marketing that made me a little more reluctant...

At any rate, I'm pretty optimistic for 5e. I like what I'm hearing, and I hope I'll like what I see. :)

Curiosity and hope that this D&DN will be the greatest all, and also true to it's name and history. Yep, giddy is the word. \^o^/

I'm really looking forward to it, but that's because I look forward to devouring any new system. I'm a tinkerer, and new mechanics and methods of play make me incredibly happy. It could be a horrible, terrible game overall, but all it needs is one clever mechanic or trick to "borrow" and it'll be worth it for me. And since I've already found two just in the preview material, I'm happy.

This, it's the reason I love FantasyCraft. A current suppprted DnD game with that kind of modularity? Call me fangrrl extreme!

No, I knew that when I bought shiny new 3e books despite not having played D&D in person for almost a year -- and I wouldn't play a tabletop game for almost another year after that.

I had this mostly out of my system when I bought a bunch of 2E source material at a game store going out of business, and found that most of it wasn't very helpful. Some of the early 3E splats and third party related stuff finished the process.

Doesn't mean I'm not interested. It's merely that the interest will tend to translate into dabbling until I find out if I really like the material and plan to use it. Nor is this limited to D&D products. :D

Giddy fanboy? Nah. But hearing that WotC wants me back as a customer? I am a little flattered. Maybe even curious.
