Oooooh Monster Descriptions...

I would probably be able to buy a Monster Manual of twice the size and price. I don't know about the rest of the target audience. ;)

Same here.

While for sure changing tables would be bad (copy & paste from Compendium rocks), some extra pages for fluff description of powers would appraise me.

MM? The bigger is the better :)

Listen up, WotC. 2 out of 2 posters on EN World are willing to pay twice the money if the MMs get twice the size (assuming the extra size is focused in providing more fluff without losing utility and shortness in stat blocks). That's basically 100 % of your target audiance!

If the MM 2 is not 560 pages, I consider myself fired as a customer!

:D

While I wouldn't mind a bit of extra fluff, like short descriptions, doubling the size would be too much for me - so make that 2 out of 3 ;)

I'm fine with the approach to release extra books that focus on a certain subgroup of monsters to describe them in further detail. Individual and smallish groups of monsters should just be further detailed in dragon articles.

Shifty seems a simple case, but I agree, for some powers I'd like some fluff text. But I wouldn't want it in the stat block, because it just takes too much space. An extra area where the monsters powers are described would be nice, but then, I would probably be able to buy a Monster Manual of twice the size and price. I don't know about the rest of the target audience. ;)

Now that i've had time to compare the old format of monster entries to the new 4e ones, i also don't mind combat description being bundled into the body of the monster block. The brevity of the powers works well enough most of the time, but i'd like more fluff regardless.
