Oots 0730

Considering how 4e heavy this one is, Bluey'd probably be better off being a dwarf ;-P He's probably still wondering why the hell he didn't get to counter roll grappling...

You have a lizarfolk and a half-dragon/half-ogre. Perhaps I don't see it since I don't play 4e, but how is it "4e heavy"? Just curious as Rich indicated he wasn't having the story "change editions" again.

Ah, guess I didn't read far enough into the thread. Never mind.

Are those are the first non-PH core classes to show up in OotS? (Aside from maybe ninja and samurai, though none of 'em did anything particularly specific to the ninja or samurai core classes.)

All in that one part of the world, too. Psionics and eldritch pacts more common in that area, maybe?

Those aren't the only ones; Redcloak brought in all sorts of non-core characters trying to get information from O-Chull. (He goes so far as to mention Incarnum at one point.)

There were ninja and samurai that showed up previously, but not those character classes.

The Samurai of the Sapphire Guard were very explicitly Paladins (Miko was a Monk/Paladin, her fall from Paladin status was a major plot point), and the various ninja that have shown up seem to have been rogues or rogue/assassins.

Psionics have shown up a few times, like Roy's favorite childhood book being "The Little Psion that could", Redcloak using a Blue Goblin to interrogate O'Chuul. Psionics is really rare on that world, as Redcloak notes it took a long time to even learn that psionics existed on that world, but it is there.

Don't think he's mentioned pact magic, but as was said, they did an offhand reference to say that incarnum also existed (but was also very rare).

It's also awesome that Mr. Scruffy, the former pet of a LN Aristocrat is the animal companion of a CE psychotic halfing ranger -- and supports that character.
