Doesn't matter that much. Durkula gives him AoO from movement, then can safely cast unless Roy has recently taken combat reflexes. Durkon knew the group has LOUSY will saves which is why he's likely to lead with OP Planeshift if that is an option.He's almost certainly tactically optimized to face spellcasters and interrupt spellcasting.

Not really, ass-pulls just to give the protagonists a chance are a lousy way to attempt drama. Durkula has to go through a Stake 'n Bake then Durkon has to be Resurrected to have any influence on the mortal world.We are hoping for Durkon to break free, for the the most part, right?
