See, I've usually found that there is ussually a critical mass of such characters, after which, it is just stated that anybody messing with other party members will be killed in their sleep. they can do whatever they want to others, but messing with the party's efficiency is not allowed. Thus, such parties usually work together better than others. This only works if the party is evil and know they mean what they say. Parties that lean too far to the good side don't have what it takes to get rid of troublesome characters and suffer through disruptive antics.
