The only part I like is the fact that he tacked the note on the door outside and yet everyone inside the tavern seemed to know exactly what it says and that it was even there!

Detect Reward. Persistant.

What I find most interesting is the way the kobold was talking- he called the LG "scoundrels" and said he'd normally never stoop to working with such as them.

Could it be Rich went and used the "paladin as Belkar's opposite" idea on us even without Miko, sneaking it in under the radar by making the character a kobold? Read his dialogue again in this light and see if you don't agree. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this kobold character survives the adventurer attack somehow (next on Fox: "When Adventurers ATTACK!") and shows up again later in the plot.

Meh. This strip didn't do anything for me. But then again, I've been secretly praying that this is finally where Belkar meets his end. Suprisingly enough ....

...I find that I may not be alone in thinking that Belkar may be reaching the end of his leash? I had this same thought (and hope, actually) as Whizbang as I read the strip.

Panel 4 = Dodge?

I don't agree. He might Lawful--maybe even Lawful Good, but I see no evidence he's a paladin. In fact, that he'd agree to work with them at all indicates to me that he's not a paladin.
