Wow. That just made me think. When Durkon returns home he brings doom to the dwarven people right? And he returns posthumously. But does that mean dead? Or undead? *Da da da DUM*

Nope. As Ari said, there's about 3-4 years to go; Rich confirmed this in a Q&A two months ago. He also said that OotS has a definite end, that all major plot points will be resolved (including Vaarsuvius's gender!), and that a lot of the strip's subtext is about how (most of) the characters change and grow over time -- especially Roy.

The only other big surprise for me is that Elan's name is pronounced "Eel-lin" instead of "élan."

Bugger that. I'll say my drow like row and my Elan like élan, and ain't nobody going to tell me I can't. :p
