They shouldn't get any XP for Belkar. He should be included as part of Nale's challenge, just as if he summoned a monster.

Never mind the resolved plot threads -- Roy is going to have to get used to a quasi-competent Elan. That's going to convince him he's in an alternate reality, if nothing else does.

I just remember in the Bond novel, You Only Live Twice, Bond is training to go undercover in Japan. His ultimate test for using chopsticks is to eat a fried egg, sunny side up, without breaking the yolk.

My friends and I studying abroad in China decided that we had mastered chopsticks when we started throwing shelled, peeled, boiled peanuts at each other across the dinner table accurately. :D
