While it may be wrong, I can understand their view. They have a leader who is intent on plunging them into a war that, by what he has said, could be ended by handing over the McGuffin that said leader adamantly refuses to say anything about.

The leader hasn't said anything, it's Roy. And Hinjo isn't refusing to talk about the McGuffin, he just said it wasn't that simple; it's the nobles that didn't ask anything about the McGuffin.
