LOL, so Roy would have been better off getting Greater Magic Weapon cast on his Big Honkin Stick than by getting his ancestral sword fixed.

Maybe. Depends on the nature of those mysterious green flames and whether Xykon cast Stone Skin like any normal wizard of his level would before a big battle.

Oooh... Major style faux pass

How many cool points does Xykon lose for flying off in the last panel without putting his arm over his head superman style?

Guys! Guys! Guys!

Remember: the Booty call amulet?

Use it Roy! Use it NOW!

Good call.

Yeah, it sucks when your best isn't enough, but Xykon is probably in it for the long haul as BBEG.

You mean the wizard that normally memorizes Feather Fall? ;)

And cast it already once today, after he Dismissed the third Titanium Elemental? Preparing one Feather Fall = good planning, preparing two Feather Falls = highly unlikely.

You guys are assuming that the Meteor Swarm actually hit Roy. Xykon could have rolled crap on one or more attack rolls--he'd likely need a 1 to miss, but there's still a reasonable chance of that happening (especially if he rolls like I tend to...).

Roy's new sword could have that property from Libris Mortis that does 1d6 positive energy damage to any Undead it strikes. That was my guess.

Not that a level 13 Fighter would be expected to have a good chance of beating someone with a minimum ECL of 21...

Edit:

Maybe he has Action Points?

Edit the second: Wait, he'd have to have spent his Action Point immediately after casting the spell, which is even less likely.

Rich sure made it look like they impacted roy. That mean 8d6 impact and 24d6 fire, no save to be had and it sure seems like xycon made the SR check...

It is deadly green radiation, particularly harmful to undead. Roy interrupted the blacksmith when she was warning him to counteract that. He may now be realizing he was actually taking damage, maybe to CON, in small unnoticeable amounts, while the radiation was acting like a bane effect to Xycon.
