the 2 hooded figures in there could be Miko and Nale.

edit: besides the next book to be released is all about Xykon and Redcloak and their badassitude

Man, those paladins are in for a world of hurt. A wall of force would probably do the tactical trick, but I'd say it's time for timestop! :D

Anybody know why the window next to the one Xykon crashes through is covered with boards? The only other people I remember falling into the throne room was Miko and Belkar, but that was like, 150 strips ago, and I thought they fell through the ceiling...
Nope. they came in through that window.

Therefore Xykon must be thwarted in some way.

Because if he isn't, then there will be no opportunity for the middle window to be boarded up and for someone to make a comic *CEESH* intrance into the throne room via the last available window.

Unless Xykon is soon thwarted by someone who enters via the last window pane fairly soon, though I can't imagine who that'd be...

My thought exactly.

Who knows what contingencies he may have going as well.

At the end of the day, a 20th level spellcaster prepared in advance doesn't lose. They just don't. Anybody arguing otherwise hasn't played a spellcaster.

I love Redcloak. While I think Xykon will probably come out OK, Redcloak remains my favorite for rational behavior.

I don't care how high-level Xykon is. He's still a Sorcerer and he's ina room with 20+ mid- to high-level Paladins.

He either gets trounced back into the phylactery or Xykon becomes a DMPC.

All I can say is

"What possible reason could he have for attacking the gate now, instead of waiting for the army to move in"

Possibly coupled with

"Time for some fun" - Xykon
