Is there any point to the 11th panel I'm missing?
Saving the soldier girl?
Emphasizing the tension by showing the heroes are very eager to close the door?
Introduce, or reintroduce, that NPC?
Showing not all the low-level NPCs have been redshirted yet?
Filling the space between panels #10 and #12?

Probably a set-up for an upcoming strip...he may have needed to establish that that particular female samurai was with Haley's group.

Sabine?

But she doesn't have the usual red eyes.

Hmm.. a black-hared female character with recent access to Sapphire Guard armour.....

Her "hare" may be black, but her eyes are too; while Tsukiko has walleyes in two different shades of blue. Now, illusions can disguise that but given none in the group has heard of her, she would have no reason to do so.

I think you're running about a blue herring. (Yeah, not red. Everything is blue in that city.)

Worth some chuckles. I just noticed something. Are all of the lower commanders wearing blue cloaks?

Those hobgoblins can't be more than first level warriors. We would have seen more hits if they were higher, and probably enough damage that would it take more than a Cure Light Wounds.

I more often tend to smile than crack up laughing when reading comics, but the latter is exactly what I did this time . . .

"So it was more of a prey migration thing, really."

I just really loved this scene for some reason. :)
