We know? Given how much that has been debated, I don't think we know that at all, although many people have very strong opinions one way or the other.

We know that her Good side, at the very least, is weaker than her Lawful side. I could definitely see Arcadia (if Rich uses the standard planar cosmology, which is doubtful) -- somewhere near the border between LG and LN, but she could plausibly be on either side of that border.

I didn't miss it - it just offends me. Redemption and forgiveness offend me. Were it within my purview I would certainly deny her peace, redemption and forgiveness. These things are tossed about so lightly, so easily as to make them trivial. Too few people try to get things right the first time, knowing that peace, redemption and forgiveness are as cheep as a can of Pepsi.

Damn her and the rest to hell for their failures.

Is this some kind of double-secret parody post?

I'm just wondering if there's not irony I'm missing. Surely the point of forgiveness is to give it to people who need it, not people who deserve it.

I hoped so when I first read it. I'm not used to people on these boards sounding that, well, mean. :\

Liked Miko's part in the story (the whole part not only her physical end ;) ).

Hm, would be nice if the D&D rules would offer an opportunity for some last words.
Now, at 1 hp a PC could kill lots of foes (both in melee and spell combat). At 0 hp, he has the option to retreat or go down spectacular (last spell, last full attack).
At negative hp, he's normally unconcious, so no last words... :\

I don't understand why so many people think there needs to actually be *rules* for this sort of thing. Miko there is clearly at -3128 HP (or other severely low number) and yet she gets her last words cause its dramatic.

Soon makes it clear she is not going to the Celestial realms. Windstrider will have to "visit" her "when he can". By her actions in previous strips, we know she is no longer Good, but definitely still Lawful.

...so she's going to some Lawful Neutral plane or another. Let's hope no Modrons are involved.
Hmm, I'm not entirely sure of that. As I recall the Great Wheel, there is a purely LG plane, and then there is a plane between it and the LN plane, a plane for those that are too good for a pure LN plane but too lawful for a purely LG plane. I think in 2e it was the plane where St Cudgel, or whatever his name was, lived. This was before they changed him (significantly) to fit into the 3e altered cosmology. In any case, I see the paladins as likely all going to the utterly LG plane - where Windstrider also perhaps lurks. Miko, I suspect, will go to that plane that is just Lawful of LG and Good of LN: not quite utterly LG, but not quite utterly LN either. It will be near enough for Windstrider to visit easily, but it will not be the same plane.

That's just my view on the matter. As the OotS cosmology looks to be quite different from the Great Wheel, I'm guessing that the whole afterlife bit might be quite a bit different from what I'm expecting anyway.

Well, let's take a look at the videotape:

Worlds with people in them don't deserve to survive. (Post 101)

And I want Miko to suffer and burn without end. (Post 110)

Redemption and forgiveness offend me. (Post 135)
Hmmm... I sense a pattern.

It's almost as if he's... grumpy. ;)

Keep up the schtick.

You're thinking of Arcadia, Nyeshet.

St. Cuthbert still lives there.
That's right, Arcadia.

So, the paladins (and windstrider) will be in / on Mt Celestia, and Miko, having shown more tendencies for Law than pure LG, will end up in Arcadia.

Hmm, I wonder if Roy would end up in Arcadia. He strikes me as too NG for that, although perhaps with enough lawful leaning to end up in Bytopia rather than Elysium. (See, I have done some research since my last post! ) So unless the afterlife has a waiting room I can't see Roy and Miko having a conversation prior to Roy's revival.

As for St Cuthbert, I was under the impression that he had been a Paladin in 2e, but due to his AL shift in 3e (to LN), he is (in the 3e deity book) a Fighter / Cleric instead. That was what I meant about his being restructured for 3e.

Absolutely not.

St. Cuthbert is sort of the patron deity of Lawful Stupid, as it were; he has been since he showed up in T4 and even beforehand. It's not an archetype I like much, but there you go.
