Soon certainly suggests that she will. I very much get the impression she'll be expected to spend some time meditating on her failings, but I don't get the impression that she's fallen so far as to be damned.
He says he is going to the celestial realm and that he will usher her to her destination as well. He says the horse will visit her as much as he is able. To me that says Miko destination is Law aligned, though not mayhap not good aligned. LN rather than LG

Poor Miko.

I'm really sorry to see her die. What ever anyone else would say, she was one of my favorite characters.

At least now the constant whining of all the Miko haters will stop.

I couldn't disagree more if I tried. I think that's a perfect wrap-up to the character's story arc, and beautifully executed at that. It had reached the point where she was too disliked for a more thorough redemption storyline to resonate with the audience, and every option for making her evil was forced and/or cliched.

This? This was perfect.

(So long as she stays dead.)
Indeed. My thought was

BEST

OoTS

EVER

The notion that redemption is hard and that an acknowledgment of error is fundamental to that is wonderful. That Miko tried her best to fulfill her duty given her warped perspective is both sad (the warped perspective) and wonderful (trying even after you've been rebuked so hard by both your Gods and the law).

Never really like Miko other than as a foil for OoTS, but nice ending.

GLEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! :D :D :D    :p :p :p

Miko's dead! Finally dead! The iconic, Lawful Stupid, Egomaniacal Paladin is DEAD!!

And the undeserving brat's not a paladin when she dies! All is well with the world!

/vindictiveness off

I never liked Miko. But I liked her in this strip. It fitted her character, wrapped up her story nicely and put an end to it, that made her... more, I dunno, human, especially the bit about Windstriker - she may not be a Paladin, because she cannot live up the the standard, but basically, she is loyal and cares at least for her horse.

If the stays that way, that was a good end for Miko.
