The least Rich could have done is have Belkar stand there doing nothing, and yet providing flanking. At least then he'd have got a D&D joke in.

Really don't need a whole strip wasted trying to show how "badass" Haley is.

Honestly, didn't the tramp stamp provide enough "badass" cred?
